TRIP & YOGA RETREAT:
From the Biosphere Reserve to the magical Haciendas
We’ll start the retreat at Hotel Xixim, right at the Celestun Biosphere Reserve on a pristine white beach, in the Golf of Mexico. Then by midweek we will move inland to Itzincab hacienda, a beautifully restored century old private estate.
Surrounded by the Celestun Biosphere Reserve with an impressive variety of bird wildlife, this hotel is nestled on a 3 mile long virgin white sandy beach full of shells. Plus in summer time it’s the turtle’s favourite nesting spot. The sea is tranquil, very shallow, and has abundant aquatic life. This pleasing place has cozy mayan style bungalow suites, two swimming pools, a yoga pavillion overlooking the sea and a marvelous SPA which is ideal for healing massage and aromatherapy.
We love Xixim’s commitment to international ecological standards and to sustainable development practices.

A stay in a private hacienda may be one of the most extraordinary travel experiences, with their out-of-the-way location it makes an instant disconnect feeling from “the real world” and the perfect spot to let go “outside” and plunge “inside”.
This hacienda was built on an ancient sacred Mayan site and has a large pyramid at its heart (yes, your chance to meditate on the top of a mayan pyramid!)
Its 14 bedrooms with private bath and air conditioned are roomy and comfy. Itzincab’s is surrounded by lush gardens and has three swimming pools to relax in. There are also common areas including the living room, dining room and extensive terraces which are ideal for our yoga and meditation practice.

THE YOGA INSTRUCTOR
Athanasios Karta Singh
I teach courses and workshops of Kundalini & Hata Yoga. I’m a member of the German Association of 3HO. In 2007 I was glad to publish the book “Kundalini Yoga”. Check it out HERE.
I think of yoga as a physical, mental and spiritual discipline ideal for building strength, character and consciousness. With a deep respect of the ancient yogis, I feel the urge to constantly learn and grow: especially in my yoga retreats I love to blend yoga and nature, being able to reach the “quiet mind” where the listening-state is developed allowing the inner life to emerge in all of its ways.
Join us in this magical experience in the Yucatan peninsula. This retreat will be focused on the 4th chakra, center of love, empathy and compassion. Suitable for all levels.
